Rey John Basco Fine Robusta

Noted for its higher caffeine content and bitterness, the robusta species has an inferior reputation among specialty coffee lovers. This, however, is now being challenged by Rey John Basco’s Fine Robusta after it won Best Robusta coffee at the 2024 Philippine Coffee Quality Competition (PCQC).

What used to be often overlooked is now being warmly welcomed in the specialty coffee scene—a very telling future for the ever-changing coffee industry.
