Brew Guide: Aeropress
- Coffee: 14g
- Water: 200ml
- Brewing time: 1 minute and 30 seconds
- Grind your coffee to filter settings (medium-fine).
- Heat your water up to 92°C.
- Place your filter in the filter cap and preheat. You can choose to use 1 or 2 filters during the brew, it’s up to preference. We find that by using 2 filters, the outcome is most often cleaner and smoother in taste experience. You can also use this time to preheat your mug.
- Set your Aeropress in a way that the plunger is about 1cm from coming off the entry point. Place you Aeropress upside down on the scale and tare.
- Place the coffee grounds into the chamber and give the Aeropress a shake so as to level out the grounds prior to brewing.
- Tare your scale, start your timer, and pour your hot water into the chamber up to 200g in 10 seconds.
- Take your stirrer and agitate the brew for up to the 30 second mark on your timer.
- At 1:00 minute, screw in the filter cap, give it a light shake and invert your Aeropress into your mug. Make sure that the mug is not on the scale.
- Slowly plunge for 30 seconds until you hear a hissing sound. Total brew should be about 1:30 minute.
- Remove your Aeropress, breathe in the aroma, and enjoy!
