Colombia Jairo Arcilla Washed Bourbon Aruzi

Jairo Arcila is a third generation coffee grower from Colombia. He started as a Mill Manager at the country’s second-largest exporter until his retirement in 2019. In 1987, he bought his first farm where he grew his first Caturra lot. As he continued working, he bought five more farms, providing jobs to the locals of Armenia, Quindio, boosting the economy of the coffee region.

This coffee was harvested ripe, floated, then hand sorted to remove the defects and later on exposed to 30 hours of underwater fermentation before being pulped. The washed parchment was then dried in temperature controlled conditions until ideal moisture content was achieved.
