Colombia Los Nogales Decaf Typica

Finca Los Nogales’ history in the coffee world started some 80 years ago with the couple Ricardo Hernández and Concepción Castillo. Continued then by Ricaurte Hernández and his life partner Suldery Arango. In 2005, the family’s dedication earned the farm first place in Colombia’s Cup of Excellence. After this and Ricaurte’s death, his youngest son Oscar Hernández took over, and has been dedicated to Los Nogales ever since.

This coffee was decaffeinated using, in part, its own mucilage to help avoid off flavors and enhance complexity. Weihong Zhang, founder of BlendIn Coffee Club, won the 2024 US Brewers Cup finals in California using this coffee.
