Ethiopia Banko Taratu

The Banko Taratu Washing Station serves as a collection point for coffee cherries sourced from approximately 300 surrounding farms, situated between 1950 and 2300 MASL. The region is renowned for its “garden coffee” production, where farmers hand-pick ripe cherries and transport them using traditional methods such as horseback or motorcycle.

The coffee processed at Banko Taratu is derived from fully ripened cherries that undergo a meticulous selection process prior to anaerobic fermentation.
