Ethiopia Sidama Bensa Keramo Honey
Founded in 2020 and named after the local kebele, Keramo Washing Station is backed by 184 coffee suppliers and smallholder farmers cultivating coffee at 1900-2300+ meters above sea level.
The honey process, where parchment is dried with fruit mucilage intact, produces a coffee that bridges washed clarity and natural sweetness, developing complex fruit character with notes of grapes, kiwi, and lychee. The 74110 varietal, developed by Ethiopia's Jimma Agricultural Research Center, thrives at these high elevations where cool temperatures slow cherry maturation and concentrate sugars.
This lot represents the careful coordination between smallholder producers and the washing station's processing expertise, highlighting Sidama's reputation as one of Ethiopia's premier coffee-producing regions, proving Keramo’s commitment to quality-driven coffee production.
