Operating under the Iria-Ini Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS), Kiamwangi Factory is one of the small washing stations in Nyeri, Kenya. The factory is among the highest coffee-growing areas in the country, located at an altitude of 1800 MASL. Kenyans refer to small washing stations that are aligned with a particular “society” or cooperative as “factories”, hence the name.
This coffee was wet processed then sun-dried on raised beds.
