Panama Emporio Estate Gesha Washed 8A Hiu

A washed Gesha with four fruit notes from four different families, held in one clean cup.

Graciano Cruz of HiU Coffee grows it on Emporio Estate in Boquete, on the slopes of Volcán Barú, and keeps Lot 8A apart from the rest of the harvest. The cherries are depulped, fermented and washed before drying, so the flavour comes from the variety and the cool slopes where it ripens slowly, not from the processing.

Candied orange and grape come first, then green mango, with prunes giving the cup its depth.
